The Background
Incentive Leisure Group Background

Garry Leigh and Keith Barker are the two principle shareholders and directors of Incentive Leisure Group Ltd which was registered in Gibraltar on 9th January 2001.

In the United Kingdom there was two further Incentive Leisure companies registered one of which was Incentive Leisure Group ( Milton Keynes) Ltd and the other was Incentive Leisure Group (UK) Ltd.

The directors of Incentive Leisure Group(MK) Ltd were named as Bansi Dhanji and Mohammed Dhanji whom owned 50% of the company whilst the other 50% of the company was owned by ILG - Gibraltar of whom Barker and Leigh were the sole shareholders.

In respect of Mohammed Dhanji he was registered as the sole director and shareholder of Siesta Vacations Ltd as of 11th July 2001 which we understand was another company selling membership of Holiday Clubs and this company was formed around the same time as some of the Incentive Leisure Group of companies.

From records obtained at Companies House, both Leigh and Barker were the directors of Incentive Leisure Group (UK) Ltd whilst the shareholders were Incentive Leisure Group Ltd - Gibraltar.

The following is a non exhaustive list of companies where both / either Leigh and Barker were/ are either directors or shareholders:

  • Designer Way Vacation Club
  • Pro Travel Group plc
  • Personal Travel Group
  • Reclaim
  • Geo Demographic Market Research ( previously known as the Direct Marketing Partnership Group Ltd)
  • Incentive Leisure Group Ltd
  • Incentive Leisure Group (UK) Ltd
  • Incentive Leisure Group (Milton Keynes) Ltd

Whilst not a lot is known about the previous history of Keith Barker there are many references to Garry Leigh running businesses that have failed previously. It has been claimed that his Sheffield pub chain Matchoption Limited went into liquidation in 1993 owing £300,000 and another company, 3T Publications Ltd, was closed down by the DTI because it was found to be running a pyramid scam called Midas.
